Zoom Author Talk - When We Walk By

Zoom Author Talk - When We Walk By

Join us on Zoom as Donald Burnes discusses his book When We Walk By: Forgotten Humanity, Broken Systems, and the Role We Can Each Play in Ending Homelessness in America.

This is the first session of our Community Book Discussion of When We Walk By led by author Donald Burnes.

When We Walk By provides a deeply humanizing look that will change our understanding of our neighbors, poverty, and homelessness. A must read! We can make inroads in resolving homelessness and poverty in our community.

All discussion will take place on Zoom. Email socialjusticeatfcc@gmail.com to receive the Zoom link.

Free copies of the book are available at Stratford Library (while supplies last).

The multipart discussion series will begin on Monday, March 18 at 6:30pm with an author talk on Zoom. Everyone is welcome to attend, even if they have not read the book yet.

The next 4 sessions (all on Zoom) are at 6:30pm on Mondays March 25, April 15, April 22 and April 29 and will delve into relevant topics from the book.

This discussion series is sponsored by a partnership between First Congregational Church of Stratford, Stratford CARE and Stratford Library.
