GARDENING WORKSHOP: Core Growing-Season Vegetable Maintenance In-Person
This program will be held at The Perry House.
Join Giulia Gambale, UConn Extension Master Gardener, for a fast, practical 2-hour Core Growing-Season Vegetable Maintenance Workshop designed to help home gardeners keep their gardens thriving all summer long. You’ll build a simple, repeatable weekly maintenance checklist, learn early-detection and troubleshooting habits to catch issues before they escalate, get high-level guidance on soil and nutrition based on what soil tests can (and can’t) tell you, practice prevention-first routines, and review essential food-safe harvest and handling basics. You’ll leave with a custom 1-page checklist and an easy “harvest day” workflow you can use right away—so your plants stay healthier, more productive, and more manageable.
Giulia Gambale is UConn Extension Master Gardener Coordinator for New Haven County, working with over 100 Master Gardeners and Interns to facilitate support in community, education, pocket and healthy and healing garden projects.
