Maureen Boyle, an award-winning journalist originally from Bridgeport, Connecticut,  has been a crime reporter in New England for more than 25 years. She was the first to cover the New Bedford, Massachusetts highway serial killer which she detailed in Shallow Graves.  Her latest book, The Ghost: The Murder of Police Chief Greg Adams and the Hunt for His Killer, explores the search for the chief’s murderer that spans decades.  She holds an undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Bridgeport and a master's degree in criminal justice from Anna Maria Maureen Boyle discuss her latest book that explores the 1980 murder of Police Chief Greg Adams and the shocking discovery of his killer’s remains in a quiet Dartmouth neighborhood. She is currently the director of the journalism program at Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts.

Before James “Whitey” Bulger, a Boston mobster, topped the FBI Most Wanted list, cop killer Donald E. Webb was the man the FBI most wanted to catch. Police Chief Greg Adams was out on patrol. Christmas was coming to Saxonburg, Pennsylvania-a quaint borough of just 1,300-in three short weeks. The winter air was crisp.
