Holiday Readers Theatre: "JOY MEETS GIRL" In-Person

JOY MEETS GIRL by Kimberly Hill is a Christmas screwball romantic comedy about a woman’s desperate search to find love in her hopelessly neurotic relationships and the truth of life - before wedding bells chime. She has 20 minutes.

This is a staged reading with scripts-in-hand.   Fun for all ages.

Kimberly Hill (Playwright) In L.A. Kim wrote for the TV series Cheers, Family Ties, One Day at A Time, Facts of Life (Producer/Writer), Empty Nest, E.R. (the comedy), E.Z. Streets, It’s A Living, All is Forgiven (Producer/Writer), was Consulting Producer on Due South and developed pilots for Paramount. In New York Kim wrote a script for Macy’s NBC Thanksgiving Day Parade and was Consulting Producer/Writer for Lateline. After moving from Hollywood Kim went into writing redemption at Yale Divinity School. She came out writing plays – such as A Good Look, performed February 2020 at Stagebites in Westbrook, CT, and Joy Meets Girl, staged reading at The Palace Theater, Waterbury, CT, December, 2021.

Sib Law (Director) Sib Law is Co-Founder of SquareWrights Playwright Center, which has debuted hundreds of works by emerging playwrights. Sib is a Featured Playwright of Alaska’s Last Frontier Theater Conference and has had Theatreworks produced in NY, CA, and in between. About his play, A Standing Date, one reviewer wrote: “Perhaps we need a whole new classification of 21st Century Theatre… fresh, original, very today!”
